Clocks move ahead today... for everyone, or just the state of New Jersey? It's such an odd state, one has to wonder.
Living in New Jersey is similar to watching an episode of the Twilight Zone. I would not be a bit surprised to find Rod Serling at one of our town meetings feverishly taking notes.
Let me try and find the words to describe life in Jersey. Unusual comes to mind right off the bat. Scary is another. I could go with Pod People if pressed.
I often wonder what life would be like for New Jerseyites if there were no Malls. No huge Mega Malls or Strip Malls. Seriously. The one question on everyone's mind in the Garden State is where to eat. I know, how about the Mall! But, before rushing off, let's stop at a Starbucks for a 'coffee' so we have something to slurp on our way.
Now that we have our gigantic plastic thingy with a huge cover that has a gapping hole for something that resembles a hose... we're ready to get into our equally gigantic SUV loaded with little do-dads that hang from every conceivable spot in the car. Because, it's not enough that our bumper stickers describe how patriotic we are, that we carry guns, children, and cell phones!
There should be a warning label issued on the back of every car in New Jersey. Drivers Beware: If you can read this bumper sticker you are too close cause I stop short for strip malls!
Speaking of safety... well, I was getting to it. On a scale of 1-10, how safe is it to slurp, text, scream at your children, put on lip stick and drive at the same time? According to every driver in this glorious state - it's not only safe, it's a prerequisite!
To reveal the secrets and special points of interest for our dream destination, personal experiences, and making observations that cannot be found in a holiday catalog.

"Theodora - Wonderful message, an excellent analogy, and thoughtful insight...
Prior to opening your article, I was sitting this morning thinking about the foolishness of youth; mine, my friends, my children, the youth of today and tomorrow and realized surviving is a reward, it seems just too obvious to say, yet we just don't understand how wonderful it is until the tidal wave washes away and we are on the beach again, that although the beach is forever changed... it is still the beach and we are on it.
Everyone faces a tidal wave." - Anonymous
