"Theodora - Wonderful message, an excellent analogy, and thoughtful insight... Prior to opening your article, I was sitting this morning thinking about the foolishness of youth; mine, my friends, my children, the youth of today and tomorrow and realized surviving is a reward, it seems just too obvious to say, yet we just don't understand how wonderful it is until the tidal wave washes away and we are on the beach again, that although the beach is forever changed... it is still the beach and we are on it. Everyone faces a tidal wave." - Anonymous

A Baby's Fate

My niece Ali has just given birth to a baby boy, another neice is due this October. Happiness and joy will follow the birth of these children.

Unfortunately, not every child is blessed with good circumstances. Too many are born without the prenatal care, the baby shower, or the relatives peering through the glass window to take a look at the miracle that has just blessed their family. How often are babies left on cold concrete steps in the hope that someone else, with the means to care for their child, will take it home. Others are sexually abused, beaten, and murdered.

Babies eventually grow to become society's adults. How can we underestimate the importance of saving the baby born into a cruel, and emotionless world? Turning a blind eye only serves to enhance the vision of the abusers and the pain of the abused.
